A beautiful new Aso-oke fabric with a beautiful combination of blue and light blue stripes. (Please note colours may appear differently on your monitor/screen).
Aso-Oke (pronounced ah-SHOW-kay) is short for Aso Ilu Oke which means clothes from the up-country. It is also sometimes referred to as Aso-Ofi. It is a hand woven cloth made mostly by the Yoruba tribe of south west Nigeria. It is woven in strips and these strips are sewn together to make clothing.
It is a thick fabric which is similar in texture to denim or canvas.
This listing is for a bundle which consists of approximately 16 metres as a continuous length. The width of the strip is 6.5Â inches (16.5 cm).
