Fabric of The Week: Black Dots and Grids
The Black Dots and Grids batik design features a subtly ‘boxed’ pattern with yellow, purple and green dots against arranged in grids and diagonals within hand-drawn boxes. These dots and grids are set against a black background. This fabric is handmade in Southern Nigeria and every single line and dot you see was drawn by hand in wax before the fabric was dyed in stages to achieve the mix of colours. The fabric is a light-weight 100% cotton with a soft drape. Suitable for dressmaking, soft furnishings, quilting and pretty much anything you have in mind.
Available here as a 4 metre length.
