5 Green Brown and Burgundy Fat Quarters

This Fat Quarter bundle consists of 5 different cotton prints, all made from 100% cotton.

Each piece is approximately 18 ins x 24 ins (45 cm x 60 cm) and you will receive 5 different prints as shown in the images. Please note that colours may appear differently on your computer/device.

The fabrics have a colour palette of brown, green and burgundy. You will receive 4 shweshwe fat quarters from South Africa and 1 wax print fat quarter from Ghana, making a total of 5.

The recommendation is that you ALWAYS WASH Shweshwe fabric before sewing. This will remove the stiffness of the fabric.

ABOUT SHWESHWE FABRIC
Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric widely used in traditional South African clothing; dresses, skirts, and so on. It was originally dyed indigo but is now manufactured in a variety of colours and designs. The formal name for shwe shwe is ‘Indigo-dyed discharge printed fabric’. It is a trademarked fabric and is manufactured by Da Gama Textiles in the Zwelitsha township outside King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
