A modern Aso-oke fabric woven with metallic thread.
Aso-Oke (pronounced ah-SHOW-kay). It is a hand woven cloth made mostly by the Yoruba tribe of south west Nigeria. It is woven in strips and these strips are usually sewn together to make clothing. Of course you can use it for whatever project you have!
It is a thick fabric which is similar in texture to denim or canvas. This listing is for strips of a silvery purple version of the fabric and is available per metre. The strip is approximately 7 inches (17.5 cm).
