The pattern gives the option of three different jacket lengths so I went for the mid. I wanted something slightly weighty and denim-like so I decided on South African shweshwe fabric from our selection of fabric. As the pattern is for a fully reversible jacket, I played around with using three different prints all in a turquoise and chocolate brown colour palette. Two prints for for the main body and a third for hints around the sleeves and the neck. I love the idea of using different prints with the same colour palette.
I am very pleased with the results. A very enjoyable and easy pattern to follow. Highly recommended if you are also new to sewing as there are no fastenings and closures to worry about. Have you already made one? Do share if you have. Alternatively, if you are thinking of it, you can buy the pattern from our selection of sewing patterns.

I have been itching to make the Wiksten Kimono Jacket for a while as I have seen sooooo many gorgeous versions on Instagram. Just have a look at the #wikstenoversizedkimonojacket and #wikstenkimono hashtags to see what people have made.
