Fabric of the Week: Blue and Yellow Aso-oke
Our fabric of the week is the Blue and Yellow Aso-oke. Cool and minimalist but still with a refreshing pop of colour. Sew these strips together and make some very handsome cushions. Aso-oke is loom woven in cotton and has a sturdy feel. The thickness and sturdiness makes it a great option for totes and bags as well as soft furnishings.
Watch this space for a Redwood tote project that we have lined up using this aso-oke. The bag pattern is really nice because you can play around with so many colour and pattern combinations to produce a bag that is really unique. We have chosen to pair the Aso-oke with the Twist and turn blue and yellow shweshwe. It has all been cut out and is about to be assembled. Wish us luck!
