Aso Oke Weaving Demonstration
We are huge fans of the beautiful woven cloth that is Aso-oke. If you are interested in how it is made, there is an opportunity to see this live, right here in the UK. On the 25th of February, there will be an Aso Oke weaving demonstration at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow.
A loom had been specially assembled just for the event. See a demonstration of how threads are manually woven into vibrant, colourful fabric.
Entry is free and the event is suitable for visitors of all ages. You can even have a go at weaving at the loom.
An event organised by the Writers & Actors Forum, a community based association in Waltham Forest with the objective of “building self-conviction through acting, writing, arts and culture.”
WHEN: February 25th, 2023
TIME: Any time from 11am to 4pm
WHERE:
William Morris Gallery
Lloyd Park, Forest Road
Walthamstow, London, E17 4PP
